THE ROLE:
EBONY Media is actively seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales & Brand Partnership to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in selling innovative media and marketing solutions directly to agencies and clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining existing client relationships while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities. Your strategic approach and industry expertise will help drive revenue growth, strengthen brand presence, and foster long-term partnerships.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
- Cultivate and nurture existing client relationships while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company goals to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams; including Integrated Marketing, Ad Operations, Studios, Pricing and Planning, to design comprehensive media and sponsorship packages that incorporate innovative and creative branding.
- Manage financial aspects of assigned accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, campaign management, invoicing, and financial tracking to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
- Leverage expertise in platform selling; encompassing data, audiences, and products to accelerate revenue growth and expand market reach.
- Prepare and deliver detailed, accurate sales reports and performance analyses for leadership review.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client and agency requests, RFIs/RFPs, and critical deadlines, maintaining high standards of service.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient operations and clear communication across executives, departmental teams, and clients.
- Willingness to travel as needed based on business requirements to support client engagement and sales initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of sales experience with background in selling multi-platform, media, and marketing programs
- Experience at a high energy, fast paced start up.
- Proven track record of successfully working with brands to create, negotiate and execute best-in-class integrated marketing programs and promotions, including branded content, custom editorial, experiential/events, and talent alignment.
- Excellent relationships with clients, capable of navigating all key decision makers at client direct and agencies.
- Data-driven seller with experience managing the sales cycle and driving high performance and engagement from large, complex accounts.
- Experience with CRM, customer life cycles and retention strategies
- Deep understanding of the digital media industry with the ability to credibly articulate strategic insights for clients that are based on data and research.
